On Thursday, May 30, the SDGs Awards were announced, where our investment fund NEW AGE FUND also received recognition. The fund was selected by the expert jury of Forbes magazine in the Young Leader category, which honors promising and inspiring individuals under 30. František Bostl, founder and chairman of the fund’s board, accepted the award for 3rd place.

I greatly appreciate this recognition and would like to thank all colleagues and partners involved in the fund. My thanks also go to our investors, who have placed not only their capital in us, but above all their trust,” says Bostl. “We did not choose an easy path, but I believe that our efforts will bring not only profit to investors, but also contribute to the cultivation and awareness of the capital market in the Czech Republic,” he added.

A unique fund. In mind and in spirit. A slogan that is increasingly resonating with Czech investors. NEW AGE FUND is a unique project in the Czech Republic, investing in ethical companies of the new economy. What are the SDGs Awards?

The SDGs Awards are a globally unique recognition for fulfilling the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. They are organized by the Association of Social Responsibility in cooperation with the Czech Development Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of the Environment, and the Ministry for Regional Development. More than 200 projects were submitted to this year’s edition.

17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) represent a development agenda for the next 15 years (2015–2030) and build on the successful Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) agenda. The Sustainable Development Goals are the result of a three-year negotiation process that began at the UN Conference on Sustainable Development in 2012 in Rio de Janeiro. All UN member states, representatives of civil society, the business sector, academia, and citizens from all continents participated in the formulation of the SDGs. The sustainable development agenda was officially adopted by the UN Summit on September 25, 2015, in New York in the document Transforming Our World: The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
